Paymentwall has launched its partnership with Cafe24 in Korea, in a move to actively support domestic small business owners in global e-commerce monetization. Online merchants using Cafe24 will now be able to connect to more than 200 local payment methods in North America, Europe, China, Middle East, Latin America, and more.

By partnering with Paymentwall, Cafe24 allows its merchants to attract customers globally, without needing to establish a separate overseas corporation. Korean merchants who are blocked by complicated processes involved in selling overseas are now expected to be able to easily accept payments from global markets through this partnership.

Honor Gunday, CEO of Paymentwall, commented: “Our aim is to make global commerce more accessible, and Cafe24 is the perfect partner for opening new markets to Korean merchants. Korea is famous for the quality of its local products, and with this partnership, merchants will have the tools for expanding overseas and entering new markets.”

“The increase in various global payment services is expected to further activate online merchants’ global e-commerce expansion,” said Lee Jaesuk, CEO of Cafe24. “For localization, the key to global expansion success, we will continue to cooperate with companies with high reliability in each country and further advance our platform.”

Paymentwall has been present in South Korea since the establishment of the Seoul office in 2015. In the past few years, Paymentwall has helped major companies, such as LG Electronics, Kakao Entertainment, Wishcompany, Webzen, Clio Cosmetics and COSRX.
